This week’s theme is “Summer Fruit”and ends the Summer Session for students enrolled in the 5 week program. Students will explore their tactile senses by making homemade play dough and sculpting their own fruit. In addition, we will enjoy eating watermelon in class and finish the week with an optional field trip to Tanaka Farms for a watermelon tour.
Our Summer Session has been a great success with new students learning classroom behaviors, scissor and gluing skills, making friends, and learning to follow multi-step directions. Our older students have continued their study with learning the basic concepts of subtraction, skip counting by 10’s, and reviewing already learned concepts.
