Welcome back!!! This is the first week of our Fall Session 1. Our theme is “Back to School,” letter Ss, #s 0, 1 (using 10 ten frames), and our social skill is taking turns.
New parents, please fill out the Parent Forms and Information pages and return to school your first day. Students will also need a large bucket marked with their name as well as a full change of clothes in a ziplock baggie (stays in bucket).
Backpacks are discouraged as students rarely put things in them themselves, and items end up scattered on the floor. Students are encouraged to be independent thinkers and classroom citizens and need to take of the their items at school. This is an essential kindergarten skill.
A snack is provided; however, if you think your student may need more food, please send what extra food you think they may need. We don’t want hungry, grumpy learners.
Second year students will follow the same theme each week, but their curriculum will be differentiated to meet their specific academic needs.
Please be respectful of the learning environment and keep the classroom door shut before school and during class. A teacher will open the door when class is to begin and end. Parents are welcome to wait in the lobby if needed, unless you are volunteering in the class.
